Payroll Tax
If your business pays, or is part of a group of businesses which pays, wages you may be liable for payroll tax.
You must register for payroll tax in South Australia once your business, or group of businesses, annual Australia wide wages exceed $1.5 million.

Stamp Duty
Stamp duty does not apply on the purchase of a business, but if the business purchase includes residential or primary production land, or motor vehicles, stamp duty will be payable on those assets.
Stamp duty will also apply to any residential or primary production land, or motor vehicles purchased or acquired by the business.

Land Tax
If your business own land, you may be need to pay land tax.
Land tax is an annual tax which applies to all properties in South Australia, however there are tax-free thresholds and exemptions which exclude a number of properties from the tax.

Emergency Services Levy
If your business own land or motor vehicles, you will need to pay the emergency services levy.
The Emergency Services Levy is a levy on all real estate in South Australia and some vehicles for funding emergency services across the state so they can continue to save lives and property.
